2024 – Australia

Back in 2024, we undertook an exciting venture to bring a Pilatus PC12/NG from France to Darwin, Australia. The administrative side was challenging — since the plane was registered in Oz, I had to obtain an Australian validation to proceed.

Day 1

    • Dole (LFGJ / France) – Lyon (LFLY / France)
    • Lyon (LFLY / France) – Skopje (LWSK / North Macedonia)

Day 2

    • Skopje (LWSK / North Macedonia) – Hourghada (HEGN / Egypt)

Day 5

    • Hourghada (HEGN / Egypt) – Fujairah (OMFJ / UAE)
    • Fujairah (OMFJ / UAE) – Ahmedabad (VAAH / India)

Day 4

    • Ahmedabad (VAAH / India) – Bhubaneswar (VEBS / India)
    • Bhubaneswar (VEBS / India) – Chiang Mai (VTCC / Thailand)

During this flight toward Chiang Mai, we experienced quite a sever GPS Spoofing over Myanmar which is at the end normal for this area.

Day 5

    • Chiang Mai (VTCC / Thailand) – Singapour (WSSL / Singapore)

Upon arriving in Singapore, our plane reported a sudden fuel imbalance, requiring maintenance before we could continue our journey to Darwin, Australia.

It turned out to be a great opportunity to explore Singapore — a destination that had long been on my bucket list.

Day 6-7

Just before landing at Singapore Seletar on day5, our plane experienced a sudden fuel imbalance that required maintenance before we could continue our journey to Darwin, Australia.

As a result, the aircraft had to undergo maintenance for a couple of days. Wings Over Asia did an excellent job assisting us and enabling us to continue our journey smoothly.

Day 8

    • Singapour (WSSL / Singapore) – Surabaya (Indonesia)
    • Surabaya (Indonesia) – Darwin (Australia)

Our final destination, a strange mix of emotions. I’m so glad we made it, yet a bit sad it’s already over. After so much preparation before and during the trip, these few days have flown by.

This is incredibly addictive… when is the next one?
